Meet Our Environmental Justice Coordinator, Chanelle Marie
Chanelle Marie Crosby | Environmental Justice Coordinator.
She/Her/Hers
Chanelle is honored to participate in the process of imagining & creating a thriving, resilient, and connected Black Portland with PAALF. She has a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Colorado in Denver, and has worked for the last several years in environmental justice with a focus on zero waste, farming & afro-ecology, and healing justice.
Chanelle studies acupuncture and herbal medicine in Portland with the intention of building relationships and bridging gaps to create a future practice that works within the intersections of environmental, racial, and healing justice. Because it’s all connected.
She spends her time being a book nerd, trying to keep her athlete reputation alive, eating chocolate, and getting lost in the woods.
When Chanelle gets a seat at the table, inspired by the words of Toni Morrison, “take advantage, and if you can’t take advantage, take disadvantage.”
