It’s time for lawmakers to take bold action to fix our child care crisis. We need a new publicly-funded, affordable, and targeted universal childcare system. Instead of repairing a broken system, we believe we should think big and reimagine what a new and better child care system should look like.
Child care is essential infrastructure on which we all depend.
Oregon’s child care system was in crisis before COVID, but the pandemic has revealed the true magnitude of these issues.
