We’re committed to building Black political power.
Black political power requires political education and mobilization.
The political power of the Black community is necessary to hold public officials accountable for their decisions. It demands a Black voice in decision-making who recognizes the particular mechanisms of anti-Blackness that are part of structural and institutional racism, as well as someone who works with other communities of color to advance collective action strategies.
We demand leadership, policies, and resources that address the issues that matter to us. We refuse to be treated as an afterthought or pacified with empty rhetoric.
Black Oregonians deserve better.
This election season we have the opportunity to dismantle the status quo and systems that have harmed Black Oregonians for far too long. But, to make it happen, we need YOU.
Are You Down?
