Imagine Black Awarded National Secretaries of State Medallion Award
Oregon Secretary of State, Shemia Fagan, just recognized her NASS award recipient, Imagine Black along with six additional various community leaders. The award honors individuals, groups, or organizations with an established record of promoting the goals of NASS in one of many areas of focus. The award recipients should reflect NASS's mission, purposes, and objectives. More info on the award is here.
The Secretary of State selected Imagine Black for its immense work to increase civic engagement, democracy, and voting rights for Black Oregonians and educate Oregon voters. In addition, the organization’s use of a Black Queer Feminist lens, which prioritizes the needs of the most marginalized among us, has helped normalize principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of civic engagement.
